Danilo Vicioso

Who I am

  • Former COO of Tabs, a top-10 most viral brand on the internet
  • Built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it
  • Founded Mainstreet, a consumer home-services platform: a team of 70, $25M raised (Greylock, Khosla, YC, Tim Ferriss), and it failed
  • Before that: Quintessential Ventures, an early seat at a high-growth startup, and entrepreneur-in-residence at Prehype
  • I’m looking to move into growth specifically. The creative and ToF is the work I want to be doing every day

Rather than send a résumé I did a weekend of the job.

What I built

What I’d do here

  • My KPI: scale ad spend, hold target CAC. Everything else follows from that.
  • Week to week: launching a bunch of different experiments against your current best ad, losers killed early.
  • Scope and brief the work for UGC creators (fans who already film their AriZona cans, flavors and merch), then keep a hook library of what won.
  • Reporting so you never have to ask. Daily CAC. Weekly what we learned. Monthly cohort payback.
  • I can run ads across channels (YouTube, Pinterest, search) but I’d start on Meta and only open the next one when CAC earns it.
  • Event tracking I’d spec and work through with your team. That part isn’t me.

I’d love to chat if this makes sense. Grab a time here.

Still 99¢.

The Big Can has cost 99 cents since it launched in Brooklyn in 1992. Tariffs, inflation, whatever: same can, same price.

HOW IT STAYS 99¢

Everyone else raised prices. The Big Can got thinner.

Holding a 1992 price for 30+ years is an engineering problem before it is a marketing one. Here is what AriZona has publicly said it changed.

Scale spend. Hold CAC.

AriZona already runs 17 live Meta ads. The constraint is creative supply, not the channel. One variable to hold, seven named ways it breaks, and a move facing each. Every AriZona fact is sourced; every plan number is labelled proposed or assumed.

Danilo Vicioso · Former COO of Tabs · v1

CONTENTS

Growth plan · fourteen parts

One number to protect. Seven ways it breaks. Three moves.

THE CEILING$55CAC a new Club ’Zona member can afford (assumed stack, section 06)
SINGLE-ITEM CEILING$15A $29.99 merch order at an assumed 50% margin
TEST SPEND AT WEEK 8$3K/dayOn top of today’s spend, only if every gate holds (proposed)
CREATIVE TESTED~17/wkFrom ten creators (proposed, section 08)
MOVE 1

Remake what already runs

Ten creators remake the hooks Meta already shows as working: Hot Wheels, Club ’Zona, Whipped Strawberry Banana.

MOVE 2

Point paid at the member

A 99¢ can cannot pay for a click. Club ’Zona ($99 a year) and subscriptions can.

MOVE 3

Gate every dollar

Spend steps up only when the week before cleared its number. Stopping is pre-agreed.

Sources: ads.md (17 live ads, 2026-09-28); drinkarizona.com/pages/club-zona-membership. Ceilings use assumed costs, itemised in section 06.

THE SYSTEM

Only variety absorbs variety

Run it like a fund: thesis, order, implement, data. AriZona’s ads show the shape: a few concepts carry the whole feed, and four concurrent versions of the Hot Wheels drop show the brand already iterates. The plan adds supply, not a new channel.

1 · THESIS

Creative supply is the limit

17 live ads, many flagged “multiple versions”, a handful of concepts carrying the feed.

2 · ORDER

Rank the bets

Score each hook by proof, cost to make, and the gate it must pass.

3 · IMPLEMENT

Ship 17 tests a week

Creators shoot, we cut, AriZona approves. One brief per hook.

4 · DATA

Read Monday

Cost per result and per 1,000 views. Cut, keep or double.

THE CEILING

Five assumed lines, labelled as assumed

AriZona’s margins are not public, so this stack is a placeholder to be replaced with real numbers on day one. S = sourced from drinkarizona.com. A = assumed by me.

The $20 credit is only spent on future orders, so the true cost is lower than $20; the stack is conservative. Merch price from drinkarizona.com/collections/merch. Every A line is a placeholder until AriZona supplies its own.

THE SPEND PLAN

Eight weeks. The blanks are yours to fill on day one.

AriZona’s current daily Meta spend:   · current blended CAC:   · current creative refresh rate:  .

Today the brand shows 17 live ads. This plan adds roughly 17 new tests every week. That is the change: more at-bats on hooks Meta already rewards, at the same targeting and budget discipline.

Roster and pay: see the Creator engine tab. The 25% hit rate is assumed and is the first number the trial month replaces.

EXISTS

What AriZona has

A live Meta program (17 ads since Mar 2026), Club ’Zona ($99 a year), Blossom Bucks, subscriptions, a merch line with dated drops.

MISSING

ORDER

Real posts from the Tabs roster. Most videos get a few hundred views; a few break out, and the average is carried by hit rate. That is why volume is the strategy.

Tabs roster postsTabs roster posts
HOW IT WORKS

Four rules that keep it running

01

One brief per account

Each creator gets a written brief: the fact, the hook, what not to say.

02

Volume over polish

Seven short videos a week. Hit rate carries the average.

03

Weekly read

Every Monday: views, cost per 1,000, flags. Cut, keep, double down.

04

A channel to ask

One shared Slack channel. Questions get answered same day.

THE WORK ITSELF

What the format looks like in practice. The format stays; for AriZona only the content changes.

PLATFORM FIT

TikTok and Reels, because the fact is the hook

Nostalgia, bodega and price-check content are already organic categories there. AriZona’s own story fits without translation: a 99¢ Big Can that has not moved since 1992.

HOOK CLIP 1“I checked — this drink is still 99 cents. In 2026.”Cut to a corner-store fridge, price sticker on the can. Source: drinkarizona.com/pages/about-us; today.com (rcna226200).

VIDEOS TO REMAKE

Twenty videos we would remake

Twelve come from AriZona’s own live Meta ads (Library IDs below). Eight are slots for organic viral posts, left open until a social-listening pass verifies real ones.

COMPLIANCE

One real rule set, four steps

The regulated line is AriZona Hard, the 21+ malt beverage (site nav, /pages/arizona-hard-malt). Everything else needs standard FTC disclosure. No other AriZona-specific controversy is sourced, so this section stays narrow.

01

Brief

Every brief states the 21+ rule for Hard content and the disclosure line up front.

02

Pre-post review

Checklist: age-gate language, #ad tag, no claims not in facts.md.

03

Spot audit

A random sample of live posts, checked weekly.

COMPENSATION

Four pay bands, capped

TIERMONTHLYVIDEOS / WEEKCAP
US premium$800–1,5007$1,500
US standard$500–600not set$1,000
International, on-camera$5007$1,000
International, faceless$50010$1,000

Bonuses: 100K views adds $50 flat. 1M views tops the month up to the tier cap. One bonus per creator per month, organic reach only (boosting does not count), and none in a month with a compliance violation. Mix: at least half US creators; add one US and one other each month.

All amounts are proposed by Danilo.

ECONOMICS

What has to be true at $1 per 1,000 views

TIERMONTHLY COSTVIEWS NEEDED / MONTH
US premium$800–1,500800K–1.5M
US standard$500–600500K–600K
International, on-camera$500500K
International, faceless$500500K

Hitting 500K to 1.5M organic views per creator per month is realistic for an established creator with a strong hook. It is not guaranteed for every slot, especially faceless and international accounts in the early months. This table shows the math, not a promised result. The Day-90 gate exists to test it on real data.

Proposed target and bands. No AriZona view or spend data was used.
